Jean-Pierre BOBILLOT & Jean-Luis HOUCHARD (France)
Jean-Pierre Bobillot (1950, Paris, France) – poet, writer, essay writer, researcher. Author of a number of books of poetry and prose, including such as: Le Réel-Fiction(s) (Saussines: Cadex, 1996), Poèmes coupés (Grenoble: Mrôrch, 1997), Tombeau d’Isidore Ducasse – Lieux communs (Metz: Voix éditions, 2000), Mobile / immobile / mobile – Poèmes de circonstances (Saussines: Cadex, 2000), Crevez le matelas de mots!& autres poèmes (+CD “Électre & Cie,” Liege: L’Atelier de l’Agneau, 2000), PoèmeShow – Textes de scènes (+CD “PoèmeShow,” in collab. with S. Nève, Arras: Les Contemporains, 2000). He published both in France and abroad a great number of articles, dedicated to the theory of literature, to the contemporary trends in poetry, and also to Rimbaud Mallarme and Apollinaire’s work. He is the author of several monographs-studies, among them are the following ones: La Momie de Roland Barthes – Éloge de la Modernité (Montpellier: Cadex Ed., 1990), Bernard Heidsieck Poésie Action (+CD “Morceaux choisis,” Paris: Jean-Michel Place, 1996), Trois essais sur la po¸sie littérale (Paris: Al Dante, 2000). He founded (jointly with S. Nève) and was a director of the publishers’ series “Collection Électre,” within which numerous poetry books, brochures and audio pieces of contemporary authors have been published since 1985. He also founded (jointly with B. Heidsieck) the international poetic colloquium Poèsie sonore / Poèsie action (Cerisy-la Salle, 1999) and was the curator of the review anthological edition on the contemporary sound-poetry La faRce cRachée de la pRoésie du XXème Siècle (“Sapriphage,” #36, +CD, Nanterre, 1999). He conducted numerous poetry readings, shows and performances both in France and abroad, including poetic series PoèmeShow (since 1979), Dadamix (since 1989, jointly with S. Nève), Les Éludits rudiques (since1998, jointly with Jean-Luis Houchard). In 1991 he did his Ph.D. at the Université de Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris) and at present he is a professor at the department of French literature of the University Stendhal (Grenoble). Jean-Pierre Bobillot lives and works in Grenoble (France).
Jean-Luis Houchard (1947, Dombasle, France) – poet, essay writer, musician. He has been continuously developing theoretical and practical traditions of noise music and poetry. He has published a number of poetry books, including such as: Clivages – Phases – Stases (Dombasle: Aléas Ed., 1978), Nébuleuse Louis – Niege (Paris: Le Castor Astral, 1982), Tite Live (Arras: Électre Ed., 1986), And now silence in Ryoan-Ji (Montmorency: Le jeu des Tombes, 1987), Continuum nébuleux (Æncrages & Cº, 1993), Continuum nébuleux again and against (Arras: Électre Ed., 1998), Frag’men’man’tations (Metz: Voix éditions, 2000). He is the author of numerous articles, dedicated to new trends in music and literature that were published in various magazines, literary miscellanies and anthologies, including the following: “Doc(k)s,” “M25Blockhaus,” “Kanal Magazine,” “Contrechamps” and so on. Houchard is one of the founders of the musical group “Tournesol” (jointly with J.-Ch. Weber, R. Heuriot, Ph. Houchard, M. Bonichot), being a member of which he tours in various cities in France. Among the produced releases are the following ones: Collaboration through the mail (jointly with M. Akita, Bordeaux: DMA 2 prod., 1987). He has participated in international festivals of audio art and sound poetry, held a large number of concerts and musical performances, including the ones jointly with D. Humair, D. Moss, G. Smith, P. Panhuysen, J.-M. Marchetti, Lê Quan Ninh, J.-M. Weber, V. Albert and others. Since 1998 he has been actively collaborating with J.-P. Bobillot in holding concerts, actions and poetry readings. Jean-Luis Houchard lives and works in Dombasle (France).
