Pierre-André ARCAND (Quebec)

Arcand participated in international festivals of experimental poetry and contemporary art, including the series of festivals Festival dIn(ter)ventions (Quebec) Noson(g) Cabaret (1984), Espèces Nomades (1987), Immedia Concerto (1988), Interzone (1992), and also: Festival Ultimatum (Montreal, 1985, 1987), Polyphonix (George Pompidou Center, Paris, 1987), New Music America (Montreal, 1990), Poliphonix 16 (Quebec, 1991), 8 Festival International de poesie (Trois-Riveere, 1992), Tercer Festival de performance (Mexico City, 1994), Veneziapoesia96 (Venice, 1996) and others. He conducted a large number of sound performances and installation projects at various galleries and museums of the world, among them are the following: Kasseler Kunstverein (Kassel, 1986), Malmö Kunsthall (Malmö, 1986), Franklin Furnace (New York, 1986), Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris, 1987), Statens Museum for Kunst (Copenhagen, 1988), Centro de Carmen (Valencia, 1991), etc. He is the author of a number of poetry books, among them are: Plis sous pli (jointly with J.-Y.
